Power shutdown

There will be no power supply in Sindi Colony, Assaye Road, Wheeler road and surrounding areas on Friday between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. On Saturday there will be no power supply in Sundermurthy Road, Mouna Guru Math Road, Thambu Chetty Road, and Webster Road.

Open session

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd. will hold open house sessions at all the offices of area managers and deputy general managers on Saturday at 10 a.m.

New commandant

Air Commodore Pankaj Tyagi has taken over as the new Commandant of Institute of Aerospace Medicine, here. An alumnus of Armed Services Medical College Air Cmdre Tyagi served in various operationally significant Air Force stations. He was the Deputy Principal Medical Officer at HQ Western Air Command before taking over the present post.

Medical camp

Chinmaya Mission Hospital, Indiranagar, will conduct a free camp on liver diseases on May 7 between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. During the camp qualified and experienced gastro enteroloigsts will treat patients suffering from Jaundice, Hepatitis, Cirrhosis of Liver. For details, call 2528061 or 25281505.

New bus stand

Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation has made arrangements to shift the operation of buses to Mysore from Kempegowda bus station (KBS) to the bus stand on Mysore Road. Fifteen mini buses have been drafted to take passengers to the new bus stand. The buses coming from Mysore will stop at the new bus stand. On Wednesday, 10,000 passengers travelled in express buses and 1,726 passengers travelled in non-stop buses to Mysore.
