Prisoners escape from police custody

PATNA: The police are conducting raids to nab about half-a-dozen undertrial prisoners, who stabbed two police personnel and escaped when they were being brought to the Vaishali district court in Hajipur on Thursday. The escapees include Vinod Rai, who is facing about a dozen criminal charges.

The injured personnel were taken to the Patna Medical College Hospital.
