Mohd Ali Shabbir, Minister for Information and Public Relations, calling on Bangladesh Finance Minister Shafi-ur-Rahman at Yashoda Hospital in Hyderabad, on Friday.
HYDERABAD: Bangladesh Finance Minister Shafi-ur-Rahman, who is here attending the ongoing Asian Development Bank meeting, was admitted to Yashoda Hospital on Friday following complaints of "breathlessness, fever and altered sensorium". The Minister has a urinary tract problem for which he has been getting treatment for many years, a statement issued by the hospital said. Mr. Rahman has been diagnosed to have urinary tract infection with spillage of blood. He is being administered antibiotics by a team of specialist doctors. There is no acute cardiac problem, but he is in a semi-conscious critical condition. He is being closely monitored at ICU by specialists, according to the statement. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy enquired about the health status of Mr. Rahman. Mohd. Ali Shabbir, Minister for Information and Public Relations, called on the Minister at the hospital and talked to his family members, an official release said.
