Chief Minister Kumaraswamy to inaugurate Gadinadu Utsav today

Belgaum: While there is criticism on the quality of the week-long "Gadinadu Utsav-2006" to be inaugurated here by Chief Minister H.D. Kumarswamy on Sunday, one can draw solace from a few events which promise a good entertainment during the festivities.

Along with noted singer Anuradha Paudwal and C. Ashwat, there are two other special events on "Kannada Ranga Geete" by theatre personality Natyabhushan Yenagi Balappa and his students, and a special Kuchupudi dance feature by international danseuse, choreographer and therapist Vyjayanthi Kashi from Bangalore.

Ms. Kashi, an exponent of Kuchupudi, is all set to present a special dance feature "Bhavya Bhoomi," which is a conceptualisation of her vision on the rich Indian classical dance forms. She says, it is a combination of traditional as well as abstract series of evocative dances triggered by studies, inspired by the haunting lives stories of great and inspiring personalities.

Mr. Ashwat will be performing on the evening of Tuesday. Ms. Paudwal will perform on the evening of May 12.
