Information centre

The Coimbatore branch of the Red Cross Society has taken the initiative to organise a centralised information centre for the public to find the required group of blood in case of an emergency.

According to a release, all blood banks are expected to report their stock of blood and blood products to the Red Cross on a daily basis. Public or other hospitals can call the Red Cross (12701 or 2218469) for information on the availability of blood. The Red Cross also has the capability to maintain a donor list with all the details.

Postponed

The summer camp to be organised by the Young Women's Christian Association on May 8 has been postponed. According to a release, it will be held on May 15. Rest of the programme will be held as per the schedule from May 9.
