All set for train to Tibet

Tickets for first five trains sold out


  • It is the world's highest and longest plateau railway
  • Oxygen masks to be installed to combat altitude sickness

    Beijing: Tickets for the first five trains to the remote and picturesque Himalayan region of Tibet have been sold out, two months ahead of the inaugural run. The trial operations of the Qinghai-Tibet railway will start on July 1, an official of the railway company said. The services will be from here, Chengdu, Xining, Shanghai and Guangzhou.
