Kingston: Asafa Powell ran the fastest time in the 100 metres this year, winning his event in 9.95 seconds at the Jamaica international invitational meet.

Powell easily beat Trinidad and Tobago's Marc Burns (10.22s) and fellow Jamaican Ainsley Waugh (10.31s). seconds. — AP
