Isolated rain likely in T.N.

CHENNAI: Isolated rainfall occurred over Tamil Nadu and south interior Karnataka. Mainly dry weather prevailed over Kerala and north interior Karnataka and dry weather prevailed over Andhra Pradesh, coastal Karnataka and Lakshadweep. The chief amounts of rainfall recorded in centimetres are: Kodaikanal, Valparai and Uthagamandalam 2 each and Ketti (Nilgiris dt) 1. On Saturday, the maximum temperature rose at one or two places over Tamil Nadu, Telangana, south coastal Andhra Pradesh, fell at one or two places north interior Karnataka and changed little elsewhere over the region. They were appreciably above normal at one or two places over north interior Tamil Nadu, coastal Karnataka, south Kerala, above normal at a few places over rest south Kerala, at one or two places over rest coastal Karnataka, below normal at one or two places over Telangana, coastal Andhra Pradesh.

Forecast (valid until Tuesday morning): Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur over Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, south interior Karnataka and Kerala. Mainly dry weather will prevail over Lakshadweep, Andhra Pradesh, coastal and north interior Karnataka.
