Thiruvananthapuram: The five-day Sooryakanthi Dance and Music Festival will be held at the Sooryakanthi auditorium on Kanakakunnu Palace premises from Wednesday. Music and dance programmes, lifestyle show, food carnival and automobile show are the highlights of the festival. . `Ecological Eco Music,' a nature-based musical programme, will be organised for the first time on the inaugural day. `Mehafil,' a musical evening being organised by Bombay S. Kamal and Thiruvananthapuram District Collector N. Ayyappan, and Devarajan evening will be another major attractions of the festival. Lenin Rajendran, film director, will inaugurate the festival. The cultural evenings are from 6 p.m. Entry is free.
