BANGALORE: Toshiba Corporation on Tuesday showcased five of its latest products for Indian customers in a bid to capture the growing market for mobile computing in India. The products include Qosmio G30, the world's first Notebook PC with high definition DVD-Rom drive incorporating the latest Intel Centrino Duo mobile technology; Satellite A100 and M100 series with Intel Core Solo Centrino technology; the business notebook Tecra M5 series; and the 12-inch screen Portege M500. Toshiba said it had launched a few initiatives to penetrate the Indian market deeper through enhancing affordability for its products. "Noticing the rising popularity and demand for state-of-the-art mobile computing solutions in India, we are also announcing exclusive `India-only' prices for our products with attractive offers,'' Ivan Kam, Manager, Distribution Business, South Asia, Toshiba Singapore Pte Ltd., told reporters here. With the pan-India sales and service support offered in association with HCL Infosystems, Toshiba would sustain its competitive edge in India's mobile computing market, Mr. Kam said. The Qosmio G30 is priced at Rs. 1.75 lakh (MRP).
