Ashok Leyland April sales up

CHENNAI: Total sales of Ashok Leyland during April have risen by 47.3 per cent to 5,039 vehicles from 3,422 vehicles in the same period in 2005. Sales in the domestic market were higher at 4,750 vehicles against 3,171 vehicles and exports at 289 vehicles against 251 vehicles. Sales of medium duty passenger vehicles stood at 713 numbers in April 2006 as compared to 1,023 numbers in April 2005. Sales of medium duty goods vehicle were higher 4,708 numbers against 3,051 numbers.
