THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Oommen Chandy has directed the Crime Branch to probe the murder of Rejina, 24, and her two infants at Erath in Anchal on February 10. Mr. Chandy issued the orders based on a memorandum submitted by Youth Congress State secretary Chamakkala Jyothi Kumar. Rejina and her children were allegedly killed by one Rajesh Kumar alias Anil Kumar at her residence at Erath in Anchal. Though the local police conducted preliminary investigations, no one was arrested and then Mr. Jyothi Kumar submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister seeking to arrest the culprits behind the murder. Mr. Chandy then ordered the Crime Branch to probe the case, Mr. Jyothi Kumar said in a release here on Tuesday.
