Vijaya Bank raises PLR, deposit rates
BANGALORE:
Vijaya Bank has effected upward revision in interest rates on domestic term deposits and FCNR (B) deposits and housing loan and benchmark prime lending rate. The interest rates on domestic term deposits of maturity of three years and above were enhanced from 7 per cent to 7.25 per cent from May 5. The revised housing loan rates are: up to five years 8 per cent (floating) and 8.5 per cent (fixed); 5-10 years 9 per cent (floating) and 9.75 per cent (fixed); 10-15 years 9.25 per cent and above 15 years 9.5 per cent. There is no fixed rate for loans above ten years. The Prime Lending Rate has been raised to 11.25 per cent from 11 per cent. The interest rates on FCNR (B) deposits of pound sterling, U.S. dollar and euro in that order are: 1-2 years 4.87 per cent, 5.33 per cent and 3.32 per cent; 2-3 years 4.98 per cent, 5.34 per cent and 3.64 per cent; 3-4 years 5.06 per cent, 5.35 per cent and 3.78 per cent; 4-5 years 5.09 per cent, 5.39 per cent and 3.88 per cent and above five years 5.10 per cent, 5.43 per cent and 3.96 per cent, respectively.
