New Delhi: Indian powerlifters reaped a rich harvest of 49 medals at the recent 18th Asian senior, junior, sub-junior and master (men and women) championship at Teabaek City, Korea. Indian powerlifters won a whopping 22 gold, 19 silver and eight bronze medals, apart from the women's team championship and overall (men and women) championship in the five-day meet which concluded on May 5. The gold medallists: Women: J. Ramalaxmi (48kg sub-junior), Chandana Das (52kg sub-junior), Madhabia B. Pardeshi (44kg junior), Shyamla Devi (60kg junior), Jenis Joseph (67.5 kg junior), Sarita Verma (44kg senior), Madhuri Bhagwat (75kg senior), Ranu Mohanty (67.5 kg senior), Mallika Sharma (90kg senior), R.M. Roy Choudhury (75kg master), Leela S. Korgaonkar (82.5kg master) and Raksha R. Maharao (+90kg master). Men: Ajinka Joshi (52kg sub-junior), K.P. Arjun (110kg sub-junior), Rajinder Singh (52kg junior), Shyam Singh Rana (56kg junior), Dilip Sharma (56kg senior), H.R.
