CHENNAI: Chennai's Dipika Pallikal (under-15 girls) and Mumbai's Mahesh Mangaonkar (under-13 boys) won titles in the German Junior Open squash at the Gerlingen Club in Stuttgart recently. Dipika emerged unscathed, without losing even a single game. In all, nine Indian juniors participated in the tournament and six of them including Dipika and Mahesh were trainees of National coach Cyrus Poncha and SRFI consultant Major S. Maniam at the ICL academy here. Further good tidings came in the form of runners-up spots for Ramit Tandon (ICL academy), who hails from Kolkata, in the boys' under-15 section and local talent B. Aparajitha (ICL academy) in the girls' under-13 section. According to information received here, Dipika put up a brilliant show. She had twice won the under-13 titles here, but did not participate last year. Dipika is under the fold of the Mittal Champion's Trust.
