NEW DELHI: Aimed at generating funds for a noble cause, "Corporate Quiz-2006" will be conducted by well-known quiz-master Siddhartha Basu at Indian Institute of Foreign Trade here on May 13.

Organised by the Concern India Foundation, the quiz show that will see the participation of various corporate organisations will start with a written preliminary round for all participants. Six participants will be chosen for the finals that will be held the same evening.

The participation fee is Rs.5, 500 per team comprising two people and all entries will be treated as donations. Both the winning and runners-up teams would be awarded trophies. There will be prizes for both the participants as well as the audience.

The Corporate Quiz is in aid of Concern India Foundation, a non-profit public charitable trust that provides financial and non-financial support to development oriented organisations working with the most vulnerable people of society in the areas of education, health, community development and environment.

The funds raised through the event will go towards supporting development-oriented organisations working with the underprivileged in the areas of education, health, community development and the environment.

Basu started "Quiz Time" in 1988 and later the award winning series "Kaun Banega Crorepati" hosted by reigning Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan. His company Synergy Communications produced the quiz show "Mastermind India" for BBC World and the time-tested format of "University Challenge" on BBC World.

Over the years, he has regularly conducted shows for Limca Book of Records, Delhi Police, Tihar Jail, IIM Ahmedabad and IIT Bombay.
