Vaughan's wait for comeback prolonged

London: Rejecting reports that Michael Vaughan was set to get out of the injury lay-off this week, Yorkshire director of cricket David Byas said the England captain would not be rushed to play.

Vaughan has not played since being forced home from the tour of India in February by a persistent knee problem.

According to media reports, Vaughan, who has since resumed training with Yorkshire, would feature in the Liverpool Victoria county championship clash with Kent at Canterbury.
