NEW DELHI: Gaganjeet Bhullar led a field of 10 golfers by one stroke after the fifth round in the selection trials to pick the Indian team for the Eisenhower Cup World Amateur golf championship.

Having played four of the eight rounds at the Golden Greens Golf Resort, Bhullar faltered in the fifth round played at the Jaypee Greens Golf Resort. Bhullar shot a round of five-over 77 for an aggregate of 364.

Closely following Bhullar were Anirban Lahiri (365) and Gagan Verma (365).

The Eisenhower Cup will be played at De Zalza Golf Club and Stellenbosch Golf Club near Cape Town from October 26 to 29. India will be sending a three-member team with one non-playing captain. — Sports Reporter
