Training programmes for children

NEW DELHI: Shikhar, a voluntary organisation for social development, will launch "Project Ishita'' that is aimed at assisting underprivileged girls by providing them formal education and various training programmes including computer education and secretarial training.

The organisation will hold a month-long summer training programme for children in collaboration with Jamia Nursery School beginning May 16. Chief Patron of Shikhar, cricketer Virender Sehwag, will inaugurate both programmes at Jamia Millia Islamia University's nursery school campus on Wednesday.

Lecture on "Stress Free Management''

NEW DELHI: Kabir Peace Mission in association with the Standing Conference of Public Enterprises (SCOPE) will organise a lecture on "Stress Free Management'' at Scope Convention Centre at Lodhi Road here this Thursday.

Secretary-General of the Rajya Sabha Yogendra Narain will preside over the lecture that will be delivered by Managing Director of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation E. Sreedharan.

Two books, "Ramayana For All Times'' by Dharmendra M. Sinha and "The Power Of Positive Attitude'' by Rakesh K. Mittal will also be released on the occasion.

Commemorative Lecture

NEW DELHI: Jagannath International Management School (JIMS) organised a lecture on "Role of Youth in Emerging India: Vision by 2020" at India International Centre here on Monday.

The Jagannath Gupta Commemorative Lecture was delivered by India's former ambassador to the United States Abid Hussain. He motivated the students' to contribute to the country's development.

Among those present were the chairman of JIMS Kalkaji and Vasant Kunj Amit Gupta and chairman of JIMS Rohini Manish Gupta besides president of its Advisory Board P.L. Reddy.

Free eye camp

NEW DELHI: A free eye camp was organised jointly by Tarun Mitra Parishad and Shree Parshvanath Digamber Jain Homeopathic Ausdhalaya in neighbouring Faridabad over the weekend.

According to Tarun Mitra Parishad's release, a medical team of St. Stephen's Hospital examined 192 patients at the camp.

Doctors administered medicines to patients and identified 21 of them for free cataract operations at St. Stephen's Hospital.

These patients will be provided free medical facilities, meals, medicines, boarding and lodging as well as free lens.
