POLL-READY: Lok Satta's zonal coordinator T.L. Narasimha Rao flagging off the praja ratham at Clock Tower in Nalgonda on Tuesday.
NALGONDA: Lok Satta on Tuesday started an exercise to pick up and train enthusiastic youngsters to be fielded in the coming panchayat elections. As part of the programme, a team of activists from its district unit launched a tour on a vehicle, christened Lok Satta's Praja Ratham, from the Clock Tower centre in the town. Flagging off the ratham, zonal coordinator of Lok Satta T.L.Narasimha Rao said that the team would pick up youngsters irrespective of party affiliations and impart adequate training to mould them into able leaders. "Money bags and criminals are ruling the roost in the present set up. The rich and powerful invest huge amounts in the elections and resort to large-scale corruption after winning the elections," Mr.Rao observed. He maintained that his organization was striving to cleanse the system.
