MANGALORE: The Al-Azhariya Jumma Masjid, Kulavoor near Kuppepadavu in Mangalore taluk, built at a cost of Rs. 5.5 lakh, will be inaugurated on Thursday. A three-day programme of religious discourse organised as part of the inaugural function got under way on Tuesday. An all-faith meet will be held on Thursday. B.M. Abubakkar Musliar, khateeb of the masjid, told presspersons here on Tuesday that K.S. Attakoya Thangal, Kumbhol, will inaugurate the mosque. M.I. Kulavoor, convener of Cauvery Vidyalaya, Kuppepadavu, will preside over the function. M.S.M. Abdul Rashid Sakafi Zaini, president of state unit of Sunni Students' Federation, will deliver the main talk on the occasion.
`Swalath'
A programme of annual "Swalath" will be held on Thursday night under the leadership of Asayyad Abdurahman Sadat Thangal, Khateeb of M.J.M., Kiloor. Sayyad Abdurrahman Kunhikoya Thangal Al-Bhuqari will preside over the religious lectures on all the three days. Putthu Monu, president of Jumma Masjid committee, and Mohammed, convener, were present.
