JVV opposes astrology course in Telugu varsity

HYDERABAD: Jana Vignana Vedika and the Centre for Inquiry have demanded that Sri Potti Sriramulu Telugu University withdraw the astrology and vaastu science courses offered in the university. A JVV delegation met university Vice-Chancellor Manjulatha on Tuesday and submitted a memorandum. The delegation led by JVV general secretary T. V. Rao and others said the courses offered in the university were based on ancient beliefs and texts. Members of Manava Vikasa Vedika and Progressive Women Organisation were also present.
