NEDUMBASSERY: A 50-year-old woman was deported back here to the Cochin International Airport from Kuwait on Tuesday reportedly after she was refused entry on the ground that a ban on entry was issued against her 16 years ago.

Kartyayani, hailing from Nilambur, left for Kuwait via Muscat on an Oman Air flight from here on May 3. She had reportedly secured a new passport by paying Rs.35,000 by pledging her property. Oman Air took her back here on Tuesday morning. - Staff Reporter
