Asian Paints announces final dividend
MUMBAI:
Asian Paints has announced a final dividend of Rs. 5.50 per equity share of Rs. 10 each for the year ended March 31, 2006. The directors have recommended a one-time special dividend of Rs. 2.50 on the occasion of the 60th year of incorporation of the company. Together with the interim dividend of Rs. 4.50 per share approved by the board, the total dividend aggregates to Rs. 12.50 per share. The company has posted a profit after prior period items of Rs. 186.78 crore for the year ended March 31, 2006, against Rs. 173.48 crore. Total income has increased to Rs. 2,355.08 crore from Rs. 1,986.17 crore.
