Tamil Nadu Newsprint pays 15 p.c. final

CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu Newsprint and Papers has recommended a final dividend of 15 per cent for 2005-06. Along with the interim dividend of 15 per cent already paid, the total dividend for the year works out to 30 per cent. The company has reported a net sales turnover of Rs. 775.67 crore for the year ended March 31, 2006, against Rs. 641.05 crore. The profit before depreciation and taxation was higher at Rs. 159.04 crore against Rs. 101.05 crore and the profit after tax at Rs. 80.55 crore against Rs. 37.95 crore.
