Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee president Ramesh Chennithala has attributed the Left Democratic Front's victory in the Assembly elections to its "unholy alliance with casteist and communal outfits." Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, Mr. Chennithala said the CPI(M) and the LDF that had assiduously kept these forces at a distance in the past did not have any qualms in seeking their support to capture power. The CPI(M)-led LDF would have to pay a heavy price on this count, he added. In reply to a question, he said the Congress accepted the people's verdict. The party would conduct a detailed study and hold discussions on the electoral setback.
