Yuva Samata Sena stages demonstration

PROTEST: Members of Yuva Samata Sena staging a demonstration in front the office of Tahsildar in Hubli on Thursday seeking action against the management of a rural polytechnic for alleged harassment of students.

HUBLI: Members of the Yuva Samata Sena staged a demonstration in front of the office of the Tahsildar here on Thursday seeking action against the management of a rural polytechnic college near Hubli.

The protestors alleged that the management of the polytechnic college at Tarihal village near Hubli was harassing Dalit students. The principal was allegedly ill-treating Dalit students in the college.

They said that criminal cases should be booked against teaching staff who harassed students. Later they submitted a memorandum addressed to the Chief Minister to V.R. Yaradakeri, Tahsildar, Hubli.
