TIRUPATI: Telugu Desam president N. Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday charged the Rajasekhara Reddy Government with indulging in gross violation of democratic principles. Mr. Naidu's reaction at a press conference here came in the wake of reported overtures by the State Government to `manipulate' reorganisation of the MPTCs in the run-up to the panchayat elections. He said the TDP had no option but to knock on the door of the court and the public to expose the blatant manner in which the Government was trying to manipulate panchayat polls. He charged the Congress with resorting to `unethical' practices like taking help of some Collectors and SPs for ensuring its success in the coming polls.
