Dent has back surgery

Taylor Dent, the American Davis Cup player, had back surgery on Wednesday at Vail (U.S.A) and hopes to return to the tour before Wimbledon. Dent was ranked as high as 21st last year, but has slipped to 65th on the ATP. He hurt his back in Rotterdam in February.
