294 unrecognised schools in Medak

Sangareddy: The attack of TRS activists on the Vijayawada Gowthami school in Siddipet has made District Education Officer M. Mastanaiah to release a list of schools in the district that are operating without recognition from the Government.

In all, 294 schools in 38 out of 46 mandals of the districts had no such permission from the government to run the schools as per the State Education Act. The DEO asked the institutions to close down the schools with immediate effect or face consequences. Zaheerabad topped the list with 40 schools.
