Closure notices to 285 schools

Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: The Ranga Reddy district administration had issued notices for closure of 285 schools in the district, as they did not take permission from the Government as per rules.

District Educational Officer (DEO) B. Mallama said notices have been issued to the schools and action would be initiated against them under Section 204 of the Andhra Pradesh Education Act 1982 if they continue to run the schools.

She said schools have to necessarily take permission from the district administration and the process begins in October every year for the following academic year.
