Yoga course

Thiruvananthapuram: The 26th yoga and meditation training course organised by the Kerala Gandhi Smaraka Nidhi and Prakrithi Jeevana Samithi will begin at Thycaud Gandhi Bhavan on Sunday. Classes will be held every Sunday from 7 a.m. till 9 a.m. The course duration is three months. Special yoga asanas for tackling specific problems such as asthma, diabetes, hypertension and stress will be taught as part of the course. For details, contact 94470 15635. — Staff Reporter

TTP union's allegation

Thiruvananthapuram: Vested interests, including within Travancore Titanium Products (TTP) Ltd., were standing in the way of TTP approaching financial institutions, seeking loans for implementing pollution control measures, the Titanium General Labour Union has alleged. TTP, one of the major public sector companies in the State, was facing the threat of closure and its employees the threat of unemployment because of the opposition from within to implement proper pollution control mechanism, the union said in a statement here. — Staff Reporter

Education camp

Thiruvananthapuram: A three-day gurukula education camp will be conducted by Sri Sathya Sai Orphanage Trust at its Sai Village at Thonnakkal. The camp will be inaugurated by K.R. Jyothilal on Friday. The camp will conclude on Sunday with cultural programmes by the children of Rangaprabhath, Venjaramoodu. — Staff Reporter
