Woman electrocuted

BANGALORE: A 45-year-old woman was electrocuted after she accidentally stepped on an electricity cable that had snapped during the heavy rain that lashed the city on Wednesday. The police said the incident occurred on the premises of a leading software company in Mahadevapura police station limits. The name of the dead was given as Yellamma, a resident of Cauvery Nagar.

Yellamma was a labourer with a garbage clearance contractor, the police said.
