Objections called on electoral rolls

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: Political parties and the general public have been asked by the State Election Commission to file objections, if any, against inclusions or deletions of voters' names from the electoral rolls finalised for the ensuing panchayat elections. The electoral rolls with inclusions and deletions, with reference to qualifying date (January 1, 2006), were published by the district panchayat officers and displayed accordingly in the notice boards of the gram panchayats on May 8 itself. A release by the commission said the objections must be filed with the electoral registration officer (revenue divisional officer) or assistant electoral registration officer (mandal revenue officer).
