HYDERABAD: The TDP has termed "big zero," the achievements of the Congress Government in fiscal management in the last two years even as it demanded that the medium term fiscal framework report be made public. Addressing a press conference here on Friday, TDP Polit Bureau member Y. Ramakrishnudu charged the Government with failure in vital fiscal parameters, including phasing out the revenue deficit. The fiscal deficit had shot up from Rs. 5,700 crores in 2004 to Rs. 8,000 crores now. The Government had failed to get the full compliment of the State's share from Central taxes. while the State's borrowings had gone up phenomenally. No project relating to laying of roads, drinking water and sanitation was being taken up in rural areas. The much-touted Indiramma programme was being implemented diverting funds meant for poverty alleviation scheme, he said.
