Windies, India to play in North America

CASTRIES (St. Lucia): The West Indies and India agreed on Thursday to return international cricket to North America later this year, signing an agreement recently in Dubai in which both boards also pledged to assist each other's development.

The West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) announced that the first major project between the two nations will be to organise a series of between three to five one-day internationals in the United States and Canada targeted for August and September.

WICB president Ken Gordon signed the agreement with representative of the Board of Control for Cricket in India, I.S. Bindra, at the International Cricket Council board meeting late last month. — AP
