Buddhadeb natural choice as Chief Minister

KOLKATA: Left Front leaders, who met here on Friday, were unanimous that Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee was the natural choice as Chief Minister.

The list of Ministers would be decided by May 14, after separate meetings with the Left Front partners, said Biman Bose, chairman of the Left Front committee and State CPI(M) secretary.

The swearing-in ceremony of the newly elected legislators was likely to take place next week, Mr. Bose said.

Prior to this, Mr. Bhattacharjee would meet the Governor to discuss the selection of a protem Speaker to administer the oath of office to the new MLAs.
