BANGALORE: S. Soujanya of Karnataka, who led 6-3 against Shree Sanjana of Coimbatore in the girls under-14 singles final on Thursday, before rain hampered play, completed the formalities on Friday morning, winning the second set and the match at 6-4 in the Kenesis AITA Talent Series tennis championship here. Kenesis Academy will organise its second Talent Series championship (under-14 and under-16) from next Monday. The qualifying rounds will be played on Saturday and Sunday.
Satvik wins
N. Satvik, a seven-year-old second standard student of the Poorna Prajna Education Centre here, won the title in the National under-10 chess championship at Sangli. Satvik secured 7.5 points from eight rounds and also received a scholarship purse of Rs. 3,000 for his triumph.
Corporate tennis
Events Unlimited will conduct a corporate tennis tournament at the KIMS Academy courts in Cox Town on May 27, 28 and June 3. The events include team and open singles and doubles. Entries close on May 24. For details, call Ph: 9945378084 or 9342201676.
Handball teams

Corporate sports quiz
Fountainhead, an event management company, will organise the Signature Sportz Buzz corporate sports quiz final here later this month. for Zaheer
India discard Zaheer Khan completed his nine-wicket match haul for Worcestershire against Derbyshire in the Liverpool Victoria County championship Division Two cricket match in London.
The Indian fast bowler, who sparkled with six for 60 in the first innings, came back to pick three more wickets in the second innings of the visitors on the third day of the match at County Ground, New Road.
Worcester, chasing the victory target of 210, was reeling at 65 for five in its second innings on Friday.
