Satish wins putting title

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: P. Satish Kumar (TNSJA) won the Tiger Sports Marketing putting championship held in connection with the SJFI annual convention at the Trivandrum Golf Club here on Friday.

Paritosh Pramanik (SJAN) and Shivram Rai (DSJA) finished second and third respectively in play-offs.

The Sports Jouranlist Federation of India (Sandeep Nakai, S. Sabanayakan and Rakesh Tapliyar) won the team title in putting championship. Sports Journalist Association of Mumbai (SJAM) and Sports Journalist Association of Nagpur (SPJN) came second and third respectively.

SJAM `A' won the ESPN-Star Sports penalty kick contest. It defeated Calcutta `A' 4-2 in the final. Kerala Sports Journalist Association took the third spot with a 5-4 win over Calcutta `B'.

The results: Pentalty kicks (final): SJAM `A' bt CSJA `A' 4-2. (Loser's final): KSJA bt CSJA `B' 5-4.

Putting (team): 1. SJFI; 2. SJAM; 3. SJAN.

Individual: 1. P. Satish Kumar (TNSJA); 2. Paritosh Pramanik (SJAN); 3. Shivram Rai (DSJA).
