SHIMLA: A British woman died instantaneously after falling into a gorge in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh on Wednesday, police said. Lucy Hayden, 24, slipped into a 500-foot gorge at Bhagsu Nath in the district and died instantly, while meditating. Police said Hayden's body was recovered from the gorge after her boyfriend lodged a complaint with the police saying that she was missing since Tuesday. A post mortem examination revealed that she had suffered multiple injuries, including serious head and spinal injuries due to the fall, police said, while ruling out any foul play in the incident. Meanwhile, Hayden's parents have urged the British High Commission at Delhi to send their daughter's body to the United Kingdom and a British High Commission official was on his way to collect the body, the police added.
