Chandraswamy's plea turned down
NEW DELHI:
The Delhi High Court on Friday turned down the petition by controversial godman Chandraswamy, seeking permission to travel abroad.
Justice R C Jain observed that Chandraswamy would have to come clean from the court of Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (ACMM) hearing a case against him under the Foreign Currency Regulation Act.
Mr Mannan, arguing for Chandraswamy, submitted that he would move the appropriate court to seek relief. Additional Solicitor General Mehrotra, appearing for the CBI, vehemently opposed the petition expressing apprehension that once permitted to travel abroad Chandraswamy might flee forever. - UNI
