NEW DELHI: The Delhi High Court on Friday dismissed a public interest litigation by an advocate seeking directions to the Centre to provide Z-plus security to yoga guru Baba Ramdev saying that the petitioner had no locus in the matter. "If anybody has a threat to his or her life, it is he or she who needs to move a court," a Division Bench comprising Justice Vijender Jain and Justice S.N. Aggarwal said while dismissing the petition. The petitioner, Sunil Kumar, had sought Z-plus security for the yoga guru on the ground that he (Ramdev) had received threats from many quarters because he had invited the displeasure of politicians, bureaucrats, businessmen and companies promoting junk food and soft drinks. He further submitted that there were crores of followers of Baba Ramdev all over the country, and when politicians get Z-plus security then why not the yoga guru. However, the Bench dismissed his plea saying that since he was not an affected party, he did not have the locus to move the Court in the matter.
