Power shutdown

CHENNAI: Power supply will be suspended in parts of Muthialpet, Park Town, Tondiarpet, Padi and K.K. Nagar on Tuesday from

9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for maintenance work.

Workshop on basic electronics

Tamil Nadu Science and Technology Centre will organise a daylong workshop on basic electronics on May 25 for students of classes VII to IX. The workshop will focus on providing training in basic electronics. For details contact: 24410025/24416751.

Camp on dementia

Senior Citizens Bureau and Elsai Pharmaceuticals India will organise a camp on dementia on May 20 at Kumara Hospital in Kilpauk. A booklet on `Goodbye to Dementia' by geriatrician V.S. Natarajan will be released on the occasion. A screening camp to test weight, blood pressure and blood sugar will be held on the occasion.

International Nurses Week celebrated

Frontier Lifeline, the International Centre for Cardio Thoracic and Vascular Diseases, in Mogappair, celebrated International Nurses Week from May 6 to 12. Nurses presented papers on aseptic technique, new trends in intensive care management and left ventricular assist device. At an exhibition, held as part of the event, models of the heart were on display.
