HYDERABAD: Choose an alternative route if you are planning to travel by any of the roads connecting to Lal Bahadur stadium in the city on Sunday. Though over short distances, all trunk roads leading to the stadium are being blocked from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday in connection with the Andhra Pradesh State Congress plenary to be held at the stadium. At A.R. Rehman petrol pump junction, vehicles would not be allowed towards BJR statue and should take the road towards either Nampally or Ravindra Bharathi, Traffic Additional Commissioner A.K. Khan told a press conference. Vehicles coming from Abids side would be stopped at Gunfoundry and diverted towards Chapel road. At Basheerbagh junction, vehicles going towards Abids and GPO would be stopped and diverted towards Hyderguda and King Kothi roads. Similarly, vehicles intending to go to Traffic Control Room would be diverted towards Liberty. At Traffic Control Room, vehicles going towards Basheerbagh junction would be diverted towards Nampally. Mr. Khan said, apart from these restrictions, traffic may diverted at other intersections leading to the stadium.

Mr. Khan assured that candidates appearing for Civil Services preliminary exam at the Nizam College centre or any other centre falling under the areas where restrictions are in force, would be allowed if they showed their hall tickets.
