Thiruvananthapuram: The district police have embarked on a laborious process to identify the white Toyota Qualis used by the assailants who allegedly killed a Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Sangh functionary, N. Sunil Kumar, at Kilimanoor on May 9. Superintendent of Police (Rural) S. Gopinath said police have sought a list of persons who own white Toyota Qualis vehicles in the State and also outside in a bid to identify those responsible for the murder. The SP said police were still in the dark about the motive of the assailants. The police were not taking at face value the claim by the Hindu Aikya Vedi that the members of a religious fundamentalist outfit killed Sunil Kumar. They were also talking to friends and relatives of Sunil Kumar.
