Sandalwood seized

BANGALORE: Policemen chased and caught three persons, two in Koramangala police station limits and one in K.R. Puram police station limits, and seized sandalwood from them in the early hours of Friday.

Around 3.30 a.m. sub-inspector Kiran Nilgar and constable Ashok Kumar noticed five people suspiciously moving on Haraloor Road in Koramangala police station limits.

As the five started running on seeing the policemen, Mr. Nilgar and Mr. Kumar chased them and caught two of them. They seized the sandalwood which was being taken in four gunny bags.In the other incident, head constable Syed Isaac and constable Murthy noticed a van going towards Kodigehalli Cross. When it was stopped, four men alighted from the vehicle and started running. The constables chased them and caught the van driver Rajappa.. Three sickles and a sandalwood log were recovered.
