KARIMNAGAR : A pall of gloom descended on Cheekurai in Peddapalli mandal following death of 12 agricultural labourers and TRS activists from the village in a road accident in Medak district on Saturday. All the 12 families lost their breadwinners in the accident. They were proceeding in a mini bus to Hyderabad to join the Congress when the accident occurred. Of the 13 persons killed in the accident, 12 belonged to Cheekurai while the driver, Sampath, was from Hanumanthunipeta of Peddapalli mandal. Their family members were seen blaming leaders a party for forcibly taking them when they were working in fields. G. Venkataswamy, Peddapalli MP, conveyed his condolences to the bereaved family members. In a telephone message, the MP said that he was shocked when heard about the accident. He promised all assistance from the Government to the bereaved family members.
