KURNOOL: Minister for Lift Irrigation M. Mareppa has claimed that the Government has fulfilled most of the promises it had made in the last two years. Addressing a meeting in connection with the completion of two years in office by the Congress Government here on Saturday, he said in the next three years the Government would rewrite history by initiating many far-reaching welfare measures.
Assets distributed
MLAs Erasu Pratap Reddy, Gangula Pratap Reddy, Katasani Rambhupal Reddy, Sai Prasad Reddy, Kotla Sujathamma, Gouru Charita and M. Sikhamani Collector Vikas Raj and Joint Collector Ramsankar Naik were present. The Minister distributed assets worth Rs. 10 crores. Mr. Mareppa said an amount of Rs. 2,171 crores was spent in the last two years in Kurnool district. He said comprehensive protected water schemes costing Rs. 28 crores were sanctioned for Kurnool district.
