NIZAMABAD: The Government has proposed to provide Godavari water from Nizamabad to Biknoor for drinking purpose at an estimated cost of Rs. 170 crores from the World Bank, according to Minister for Rural Development D. Srinivas. He was addressing a function arranged in connection with the completion of two years of Congress rule at the Collectorate grounds here on Saturday.

Mr. D Srinivas complimented Collector D.V. Raidu for the district being among the top three in the State in respect of implementation of Telugu as an official language, housing, capacitors installation, school education, health care, cultivation of irrigated dry crops, improvement of groundwater level etc.
