Indian student's distinction

Washington: A teenage Indian student has been named Editor-in-Chief of the online edition of Tattler, (www.tattleronline.com) the newspaper brought out by the Bethesda Chevy Chase High School (B-CC) in Bethesda, Maryland.

Srimathi Sridhar, a Junior at B-CC, one of the top ranking high schools in Montgomery County, Maryland and in the United States, was a staff writer for the school newspaper. She is enrolled in the International Bacculaureate Diploma Programme and will be graduating in May next year.

Ms. Sridhar says her inspiration to be a journalist comes from her father who is a Washington-based Indian journalist. — UNI
